Privacy Policy

The Strathearn Design Website Privacy Policy (“SD” or “we”) approaches our communications on the Internet with respect for, and commitment to protecting the privacy rights of our visitors.

Website usage/information collection
When you visit the SD website, we use Google Analytics to obtain information from you about the browser and type of computer you are using, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time of those requests. We use this information on an aggregate basis (in other words, the personal information of the individual is pooled into a group of information such that the personal information cannot be identified with an individual) to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of our site.

We neither collect nor store personally identifiable information, such as your name, mailing address; email addresses or phone number, unless you voluntarily provide that information.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. We cannot access cookies from other sites, nor track other sites you visit using our cookies. We do use cookies to facilitate your online visit by maintaining data that you provide for online activities and forms so that you will not need to resubmit certain information.

You have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your Internet browser preferences, you have the ability to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. Please note that, if you choose to reject all cookies you will be unable to use those services or engage in activities that require the placement of cookies.

When we use Cookies
The SD Website Privacy Policy will make use of cookies when required to identify ongoing sessions with individual online visitors.

Examples include:

To prevent abuse of online surveys, questionnaires, and forms.
To provide customized content and user-interface features to visitors who have specifically requested such services.

Opting out of Email Lists and Newsletters
People who subscribe to email lists or newsletters via the website will receive periodic updates from SD by email. You may opt out of receiving future information via email by using the unsubscribe procedure specified on the email message.

Outside links
This site contains hypertext links to other sites. SD is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any website to which we provide links. Our privacy policy does not apply to the sites of third parties to which we link. Instead, we encourage you to review the policies of these sites yourself upon your arrival.

We have taken technical, administrative and physical security steps to protect the personal information collected from visitors on our websites with an appropriate level of security. However, there are some things that you can do to help protect the security of your personal information as well. For instance, you should never give out your username or password. Also, every user should sign out of their internet account and close their browser window when they finish surfing the Web so that other people using the same computer won’t have access to their information.

Note: If you send us an email, you should know that email, as a technology, is not necessarily secure against interception.

Notification of Changes
SD may modify this policy from time to time. If that happens, notification of such changes will be posted along with the latest version of this privacy statement.
